The
FunkWagon is the brainchild of Jacque Perron and Aaron Burroughs,
although the name of the band is misleading because they blend funk,
rock, jazz, soul, and traditional Gospel to birth a completely original
sound primarily driven by Jacque’s bass and Aaron’s
soaring
vocals. This musical garment is sewn together by Rob Jones on drums,
who provides an incredible engine to a virtual plethora of
heart-wrenching, butt-shaking original works designed to please both
ear and mind. |
Rob
Jones played in several bands before retiring his sticks to be a
successful DJ in the Burlington Area- that is until he heard FunkWagon
at a gig he booked. A slave to rhythm, Rob can hardly be contained and
cannot be stopped. He drops the beat to a groove everlasting. |
Jacque
Perron played guitar at the age of eight and having mastered that he
moved on to the bass. His style, reminiscent of Les Claypool, provides
the bottom and the beginning to every original song. His melodic voice
also adds a rock edge to what would be considered pure funk, giving
this band what others in its class lack-true diversity. |
Collin
Cope is one of our most diverse musicians.
He
boasts a number of talents including harmonica, keyboards, guitar, and
a shockingly mature singing voice. He has very quickly become of part
of almost every song and never fails to steal the show as people wonder
how such a soulful voice pipes from such a young man. |
Aaron
Burroughs was simply born to sing. Decades of training under several
gospel singing groups are evident every time he touches a keyboard or
opens his mouth to sing. Together with Jacque, he pens the songs
destined to change the world-one groove at a time. |
